City to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with festivities at Binns Park and Ewell Plaza

LANCASTER, Pa., Sept. 30, 2025 – The City of Lancaster will host its annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration this Saturday, Oct. 4, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Binns Park and Ewell Plaza on the 100 block of N. Queen Street. Presented by Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, the celebration will honor Hispanic culture and the significant contributions of the Hispanic community to the city with a diverse lineup of entertainment, food vendors, and community resources.

“Lancaster shines brighter when we celebrate the culture, contributions, and spirit of our vibrant Hispanic community,” said Mayor Danene Sorace.

Attendees can enjoy cultural performances, live music, and a headlining performance by acclaimed salsa singer Frankie Negrón. Additional entertainment includes Grupo Flokorico, Yaretzi, Mariachi Flores, Mambo Jazz, Carnival Los Andulleros, Warlton La Diferencia, Samba dancers and DJ Flaco.

The Lifetime Achievement Award, sponsored by Ephrata National Bank, will be presented shortly before the headlining performance by Frankie Negrón. The 2025 honoree is Loretta Pagan, a lifelong community leader who has dedicated over 37 years to serving the Lancaster community. The celebration will be emceed by Hector Valdez.

Food and refreshments will be available for purchase from vendors including Cocina Mexicana, Crazy Papusas, Flavor Latino, La Delicias del Calvo, Nano Burger, Nils Funnel Cakes & More, Phu’sion Food Truck and Traveling J’s. Attendees can also enjoy a beer garden in Ewell Plaza.

The celebration will feature community resources, local businesses, and family-friendly activities, with vendors including California Boys Caricatures, CASA, Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, Emotions on Canvas, Face Painting by So, YWCA, Giant Foods, Kova Bakery, La Candela, Lancaster Public Library, SACA, Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology and Tim’s Balloons.
