City of Lancaster to jighlight two-way street restoration study at Vision Zero open houses

LANCASTER, Pa., April 16, 2026 — The City of Lancaster will highlight updates to its two-way street restoration study during its Spring Vision Zero open house at the Lancaster Public Library, 151 N. Queen St., on Wednesday, April 22, and Thursday, April 23.

The public is invited to drop in from 4 to 7 p.m. April 22, with additional hours from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 23. The city will also introduce two proposed neighborhood slow zones. Attendees can review recommendations for traffic safety improvements on Franklin Street near Wickersham Elementary School and J.P. McCaskey High School, and on Conestoga and Farnum streets near Carter & MacRae Elementary Schools.

City staff members and consultants will be available to discuss these Safe Streets for All-funded projects and other actions being taken to improve traffic safety and livability for residents.
