Senator McCormick visits two advanced manufacturing facilities in Lancaster County

LITITZ, PA / NEW HOLLAND, PA (Jan. 12) — On Friday, U.S. Senator Dave McCormick (R-PA) visited two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Lancaster County, highlighting Pennsylvania’s leadership in advanced manufacturing, consumer health, and agricultural innovation — and the skilled workers who power these industries.

Senator McCormick began the day in Lititz at Kenvue’s manufacturing facility, where he toured operations and met with skilled workers who produce well-known consumer health brands found in medicine cabinets around the country and across the world, including Listerine®, Aveeno®, Neutrogena®, Lubriderm®, and Neosporin®. In fact, Lititz is the main manufacturing plant for most Listerine® mouthwash sold in the United States.

During the visit to the 70-year-old plant, Senator McCormick learned how Kenvue is investing in America’s advanced manufacturing, utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) in their production and data sourcing, and inspiring the next generation of skilled workers through Manufacturing Day initiatives that expose local high school students to rewarding careers in the skilled trades.

“What stood out most to me was seeing state-of-the-art manufacturing in Pennsylvania powered by an incredible skilled workforce delivering trusted consumer health products to families across America and around the world,” said Senator McCormick. “Visiting Kenvue’s facilities reinforces how deeply these household brands bring the power of extraordinary care to consumers and why continued innovation and investment in them matters.”

Senator McCormick then traveled to New Holland to tour CNH’s New Holland manufacturing plant, which has been producing agricultural and construction equipment in Lancaster County for decades. The facility partners closely with local suppliers and the farming community to build the machinery that feeds America and supports rural economies across the Commonwealth and the nation.

While touring the facility, Senator McCormick met with CNH’s skilled workers, many of whom are fourth-generation employees, highlighting CNH’s deep-rooted presence in the community and its enduring commitment to Pennsylvania’s agricultural heritage and workforce. The visit was especially meaningful to Senator McCormick, who grew up baling hay and continues to maintain a family farm with his parents in Columbia County.

“Visiting CNH’s facility and seeing the advanced agricultural equipment produced reminds me of how deeply American manufacturing shapes our communities,” Senator McCormick said. “It’s critical that we strengthen and support operations like this so they can continue to power rural economies, support our farmers and agricultural industry, and sustain family livelihoods for generations to come.”

These visits come at a pivotal time for Pennsylvania. The Commonwealth’s continued growth and competitiveness depend on a strong domestic manufacturing base that creates good-paying jobs, supports families, and drives innovation in local communities. Facilities like Kenvue and CNH are not only manufacturing powerhouses in their communities and for America, but also pathways for future generations to pursue careers in the skilled trades. Senator McCormick remains focused on ensuring Pennsylvania’s advanced manufacturing base stays strong, competitive, and at home. With an incredible skilled workforce, industrial heritage, and culture of innovation, Pennsylvania is uniquely positioned to lead the nation’s manufacturing renaissance.
