Lancaster to ring in New Year with family-friendly celebration at Penn Medicine Park
LANCASTER, Pa., Dec. 22, 2025 – The city of Lancaster will host a free, family-friendly New Year’s Eve celebration on Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. at Penn Medicine Park, 650 N. Prince St. The event will feature activities for all ages, including children’s activities, DJ dance parties for both children and adults, and the city’s annual Red Rose Drop and fireworks at midnight.
The children’s party, held from 8 to 10 p.m., will include a DJ and dance area, face painters, balloon artists, photo ops, a scavenger hunt and free play in the Kids Park.
Adults 18 and older can enjoy a separate DJ and dance area. Guests of all ages are invited to walk through the Christmas Spirit Light Show on the field and enjoy a photobooth. Food, beer, wine and mixed drinks will be available for purchase.
An early children’s countdown and balloon drop will take place at 10 p.m. At midnight, the Red Rose drop and a fireworks show will welcome the new year.
The city will provide free transportation to and from the stadium and neighborhoods. There will be pickup and drop-off locations at Lafayette Elementary, Fulton Elementary, Washington Elementary, and J.P. McCaskey High School. The shuttles will operate on a continuous loop beginning at 7:45 p.m. through the end of the event.
